Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how WeRentr. uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, measure, and improve the Platform — and how you can manage your preferences.

Effective date: 4 June 2026 Last updated: 3 August 2026 Version: 1.2

1.Introduction

This Cookie Policy describes how Rentr Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the parent company behind rentr.ph and operator of the WeRentr. platform, uses cookies and similar technologies on the WeRentr. website at werentr.com and related services (the “Platform”). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

2.What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site operators. We also use similar technologies such as software development kits (SDKs), pixels/web beacons, and local storage, which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this Policy.

3.Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to operate and secure the Platform, remember your settings and sign-in state, and understand how the Platform is used so we can measure and improve performance.

What we use today

At present we set only essential and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or tracking pixels, and our mobile apps contain no advertising or analytics SDKs. The categories below describe every type of cookie this Policy covers, including ones we may introduce later — where a category is not currently in use, it says so. If we begin using a non-essential category, we will update this Policy and, where the law requires consent, present the controls described in Section 8 before those cookies are set.

4.Types of Cookies We Use

4.1Essential Cookies

Necessary for the Platform to function, including security, authentication, load balancing, and core navigation. These cannot be switched off in our systems and do not require consent.

4.2Functional Cookies

Enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering preferences, language, and settings. Disabling them may affect certain features.

4.3Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting and reporting information, so we can improve usability and content. Not currently in use: we measure usage on our own systems and set no third-party analytics cookies.

4.4Performance Cookies

Collect information about how the Platform performs, including page-load times and errors, to help us optimize speed and reliability. Not currently in use: performance and error information is recorded in our own server logs rather than through cookies.

4.5Advertising Cookies

Where a platform shows advertising, these cookies help deliver relevant ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure ad effectiveness. Not currently in use: the Platform displays no advertising and we work with no advertising partners. Should that change, these cookies would be set only with your consent where required.

4.6Session vs. Persistent Cookies

Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them, allowing the Platform to remember you across visits.

5.Third-Party Cookies

We do not currently allow analytics or advertising providers to set cookies on the Platform. A small number of cookies may be set by infrastructure and sign-in providers acting on our behalf — for example, to authenticate you when you choose “Sign in with Apple,” “Sign in with Google,” or Facebook sign-in, or to protect against abuse. These are used to deliver a feature you requested, not to profile you. Third-party cookies are governed by the relevant provider's own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control and encourage you to review.

6.Social Media Cookies

If the Platform includes social media features or sharing buttons, the relevant social media providers may set cookies that can track your activity across sites. These cookies are governed by the social media provider’s own policies. We do not currently embed third-party social media widgets or sharing pixels; Facebook sign-in, where you choose it, uses Meta's Limited Login mode, which does not return advertising or app-event data to Meta.

7.Cookie Duration

Cookie lifespans vary by purpose. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies typically last from a few days up to 24 months, depending on their function and applicable legal limits. We periodically review cookie durations to keep them proportionate.

8.Cookie Preferences

Where consent for non-essential cookies is required by law and such cookies are in use, we present a cookie banner or preference center allowing you to accept, reject, or customize them, and you can change your choices at any time through those settings where offered. Because we currently set only essential and functional cookies, no consent banner is shown; if we introduce a category that requires consent, the banner will be in place before those cookies are set. You can always manage cookies through the browser and device controls described in Section 9, and manage app permissions such as location and notifications in your device's privacy settings.

9.Browser Controls

Most browsers let you view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. The location of these controls varies by browser; consult your browser’s help resources. You can also set your browser to alert you when cookies are being set.

10.Analytics Opt-Out Options

We set no third-party analytics cookies today, so there is nothing to opt out of. If we introduce analytics cookies, you will be able to opt out through our cookie preference center and through any tools the provider offers (for example, browser add-ons or provider opt-out mechanisms). Disabling analytics cookies does not affect essential functionality.

11.Advertising Opt-Out Options

The Platform shows no advertising and sets no advertising cookies, so no ad opt-out is needed. Should we introduce advertising, you will be able to manage it through our preference center and through industry opt-out tools such as those offered by the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and Your Online Choices (EU), and you can limit ad tracking at any time through your device's privacy settings.

12.Impact of Disabling Cookies

If you disable or block cookies, some features of the Platform may not function properly. Essential cookies are required for core functionality, so blocking them may prevent you from signing in or using certain features. Disabling functional cookies means the Platform will not remember preferences such as your language or display settings, but generally will not prevent basic use.

13.International Users

We aim to honor cookie-consent and tracking requirements across jurisdictions, including the EU/UK ePrivacy and GDPR frameworks, and applicable U.S., Canadian, Australian, Singaporean, and Philippine requirements. The specific consent experience you see may vary based on your location and applicable law.

14.Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
